Yu Jiadi

Party Secretary and Vice Dean, School of Visual Communication, China Academy of Art

Ph.D., Professor. Currently serves as Party Secretary and Vice Dean of the School of Visual Communication at China Academy of Art (CAA). Recognized as a Young Talent of Zhejiang Province, he has received multiple honors including CAA's Young Philosopher-Artisan Award, CAA Golden Course Award, and was selected as one of the first Young Scholars under cultivation at the Academy, and among the inaugural recipients of the Academy’s “Young Talent Support Program (Outstanding Young Faculty).

Member of the Academic Committee of the China International Poster Biennale, Member of the Character Glyph Information Committee of the Chinese Information Processing Society of China, and a member of the Applied Think Tank of the Zhejiang Provincial Committee of the CPPCC. His research focuses on the interdisciplinary frontiers of visual communication design, encompassing areas such as typographic and symbol design, public information, narrative environments, industrial heritage, and curatorial and exhibition design for museums.

His design works have been honored with multiple awards, including selection for the 14th National Art Exhibition in Beijing, Bronze Award in Design at the 15th Zhejiang Provincial Art Exhibition, Bronze Award at the 12th National Art Exhibition, Bronze and Silver Awards at the 9th and 12th Zhejiang Provincial Art Exhibitions, the Grand Prize at the Asia Graphic Design Awards, Gold Award at the International Trademark & Logo Biennale, and Bronze Award at the China Interior Design Awards. His works have also been selected for the China Design Exhibition, GDC Design Awards, Bolivia International Poster Biennale, Hibrand Awards, and other significant competitions.

He leads the course Fundamentals of Modeling, which has been recognized as a second-batch National First-Class Undergraduate Course in China.
