Shi Danqing is Assistant Dean of the Academy of Arts & Design, Tsinghua University, Tenured Associate Professor and Doctoral Supervisor in the Department of Information Art & Design. He is a member of the Digital Art Committee of the China Artists Association, Research Fellow at the Tsinghua Qingshang Institute of Smart Scenes, Visiting Researcher at Tsinghua University’s Future Laboratory, Vice Director of the Digital Art Committee of the China Illuminating Engineering Society, Secretary-General of the Design Innovation Committee of the Beijing Interdisciplinary Science Society, Deputy Secretary-General of the Design Arts Committee of the Beijing Artists Association, and former Visiting Researcher at Microsoft Research Asia.

Danqing's main research and practice are in immersive interactive exhibition design. He has led the design of projects that have been completed in many parts of the world, including the Micropia Museum in Amsterdam, the Hansol Paper Culture Museum in South Korea, Microsoft Center One Experience Center, the Palace Museum's Duanmen Digital Experience Museum, the New Media Exhibition of the China Pavilion at the 2015 Milan Expo, the Porcelain Creatures Theme Exhibition of Xinhua Net, and the Beijing Winter Olympics 5G+8K Digital Experience Theater, among others. At the same time, he actively promotes the role of new media art in a broader range of interdisciplinary and industrial needs, including artistic design innovation for the aerospace field and new media art creation based on ecological data. His cross-border new media art works have participated in many authoritative exhibitions at home and abroad, including the Ars Electronica in Austria, the ZKM Media Art Center in Germany, and the International Exhibition of Art and Science.
