The drum tower is a unique kind of building in Guizhou. It is jointed by Chinese fir wood with mortises. The pillars are straight and high, while the crisscrossing square beams go upwards to form many layers by using the lever principle. This fully reflects the superb architectural skill of the craftsmen among the Dong Minority people. Based on the shape of the drum tower, the design mainly uses bamboo and Guizhou’s ancient flower paper technique to produce a series of bamboo lamps. With portable structure and flat packaging, the product is easy to carry, simple in shape, ingenious in structure, and full of Guizhou flavor.
